CSS Sculptor and Expression web 2 editing

Hi

I suppose I have got this wrong! I have created a new web site (well the first page) using Expression web 2 and CSS Sculptor. I have now tried to edit it. I used the Insert -Web Assist -CSS Sculptor -Layout Manager option. I added a background image to the Header and followed the instructions to finish only to find that my web layout has not altered at all!

I used Preview and saw that the web layout had changed. what do I need to do to save the altered layout as my web?

CSS Sculptor is not re-entrant. If you want to change the design you need to create a new page with the new design after updating it.

Thanks Ray

But I think I am still missing something. Following what I have done what have I created? I used Insert as there was no edit option. But no page has been created. If I follow the same path my previous alterations to the selected layout are saved. But no new page is created. After using Edit I pressed Finish and Done.

I have managed to make a modified page. I selected New CSS Sculptor Page. I next chose under Presets, Choose a preset layout,. then I selected the layout I had modifiied and sure enough I had created the new page according to my modifications. :)

That does sound like it could be a bug. Please submit a support incident at the webassist web site, I'm not too familiar with expression web or the potential issues.

Geoff, double check the output tab is setup correctly to generate a page for you. It's possible there is a setting enabled that is only saving your layout, but not actually creating a page for you. It should be as simple as unchecking that box on the output tab.
