CREATE VIEW privilege

I was installing Powerstore3 and after I entered my database information, I got this error message:

ERROR: Your MySQL user (*****) needs the CREATE VIEW privilege. Please update the user permissions and try this step again. Contact your hosting provider if you need assistance.

I logged in to change the permissions and even called my host provider to help me do this but they confirmed my observation that this was already done.

What do I need to do to finish the installation and not get this error message?

Have you used the script to update the permissions? If not please try this:

Within the SQL script dialog window of your database management tool, run the following script.

GRANT Create View
ON [db name]
TO [db username]

Replace [db name] with your Powerstore 3 database name.
Replace [db username] with your database user account.

Let us know if you get any errors when you run this, afterwards you should be able to create views.

Ok. I just purchase PS3 today. I am having this issue. What is the purpose of having a wizard if I still have to run SQL commands? A novice user could not buy PS3 and install it completely from the super-duper wizard.

I also was having the issue with CREATE VIEW. I downloaded the latest PowerStore 3 update that is corrects this issue.

The latest update does work. I have successfully executed the install procedure where prior to this I required intervention by my hosting provider tech support to accomplish.
