need help tip on fedex

Hello webassist comunity, im here to ask if any of you guys have used Fedex for shipping, if so what advize can you guys give me should i pick 1 packet or multiple packets for my shippings also should i also add a length, horizontal and vertical size of package in the database field for every product?

Also when i fill up all the requested info con the shipping wizard does ecart comunicate with any api from fedex to add the price to shipping to the cart or do i have to have a table with shipping rates for USA states and the rest of the world?

Any other tip that you guys can give me with fedex?

Thanks in advance
Miguel

As for the best ways to setup your shipping I don't have much advice for you since it will all depend on your needs for your packaging ect. Perhaps some others here could give some pointers on the way they like to have it setup for them.

For the amount eCart does interact with the FedEx API to get the shipping value. This quote is then used as the shipping charge in the cart. This is all done automatically for you. If you would like to adjust the shipping charge you can do so in the cart object by going to the shipping tab and editing the rule.
