Powerstore 3 setup

I have followed the Powerstore getting started guide, and have setup Powerstore in a directory within my main website, so that I can demonstrate it to a potential customer.
One of the big problems I have is that I cannot run the index.php
My directory name is for eg store1 underneath this I have the admin and powerstore directory. I have setup all the admin without a problem, but can't execute the index.php to look at the main page of the powerstore. Does the index.php file need to be moved to the main directory in the website? or is there some step I am missing here?

Similar problem

I have tried many things. I had a sub directory with the entire store in side and was able to get to the powerstore3 index file by adding the directory to the address which kick started the store creation.

i.e. testserver/site name/ecart <--I added ecart once I opened my site homepage.

this let me generate the store but as soon as I logged into the admin there was a parse error that made it unusable. Error below.

Parse error: parse error in C:\wamp\www\oaksteadmed\WA_Globals\WA_Globals.php(58) : eval()'d code on line 1

So then, I renamed the powerstore index file to ecart.php and moved the entire store into the main site directory. Made a link in my navigation link to the ecart.php and was able to recreate the store. but got the same issue as above.

Then I created a test store with nothing else and everything works fine just as described by WebAssist. There must be a way to integrate this powerstore3 into another site but I haven't had any luck and can't seem to get an answer on how. I would think this is common practice and a tutorial on how to would be nice.

Maybe someone can help us both.....

my problem is solved - maybe it can help

I am still going with my second trial where I renamed the powerstore3 index file to ecart.php and moved everything into the main directory. The primary things to remember is to stay organized so all the new powerstore3 files and folders don't overwrite your files. I have a page template that includes my navigation. In my template, I directed a link to the ecart.php file.

Then here was my fix

change line 58 of the WA_Globals.php file:

eval("\$WAGLOBAL_".$value[$x][4]."='".replaceTokens($value[$x][1],$tabs)."';");

eval("\$WAGLOBAL_".$value[$x][4]."='".addslashes(replaceTokens($value[$x][1],$tabs))."';");

Now everything is working OK for me. Hope I helped a little.

Julie can you give some details on the problem you are having?

what happens when you try to run the index page?

Do you get an error message?
