Quick Link?

You may also notice that we have updated the Support History page in the Your Account section of our website to show the most recent threads you participated in. This provides quick links you can use instead of navigating within the forums. If you ever want to see ALL the threads you have participated in, click Search > Advanced Search in the nav bar of this forum. Type your forum user name in the User Name field. Use the other fields if you require further filtering and click the Search Now button.

Going to the Support History Page in your account to find the most recent threads is really not a 'quick' link, at least not without a 'remember me' option or without the autocomplete function re-enabled. We've been through this before. The 'quick' link is through your user name at the top right of the forum page, > Statistics, # Find all posts by you # Find all threads started by you.

Hope you didn't put the 'quick link' bit in the video.

Thanks for providing those access points Neilo. I'm sure those are also useful links to many folks. The difference of what we link to from the Support History page - and what you also have the option with on the Advanced Search page - is seeing *threads* you participated in (whereas posts will list threads you participated in multiple times) and not just threads you started. From the Advanced Search page, you can choose any way you prefer this listed by combining your selection under User Name and the Show Results as radio button over on the left.

Maybe "quick link" isn't the perfect term for having links to your forum threads on your Support History page but hopefully, despite any debate over terminology, it is useful for those who are less used to navigating our forums and more used to navigating our website and support ticket system. It is an addition and doesn't replace any other functionality, meaning you should feel free to continue to navigate to your threads the way you always have if you prefer that.

I think you missed the point..

I think that the point of the original post here was completely missed...

Please add a remember me - or allow for autofilling of the username field on your main account login page. I am also tired of typing it in 20 or 30 times a day while I try to get your products to work.

No, I realize Neilo was making that point but as he mentions, it has been discussed multiple times on this forum. The short of it is that we adhere to the latest PCI compliance security standards. We are required to turn off support for auto-login and auto-completion for security forms such as our login.

We realize it is on the top of the wishlist. I will bring it up to the web team again to see if there is any way around it, but to date, I have been told that it's not a change we would make unless security requirements change.

Can you point me to where the PCI DSS mentions that you must disable autofill and remember me functions.

Thank you.

We use a 3rd party vendor to scan our site and provide the requirements and recommendations. I have no idea whether this vendor posts these publicly. I don't believe it is much work to enable "remember me" from an engineering standpoint. In fact, I believe, it was extra code to DISable it. So hopefully folks can understand that we are attempting to provide the best security possible on our site, not lazily trying to avoid making login simpler. Like I said though, I will bump up the request again.

Using a 3rd party vendor is all good and dandy, except when they make things up or misinterpret things.. I read the 'required steps' to become PCI DSS compliand and could not seem to find anything relating to removing the 'remember me' functions or the autofill for any of these fields.

I just want to make sure that I didn't miss an update to the PCI DSS, for my client's benefit.
