Different font/size for watermark

Is there a way to change the font for the watermark? The provided one (looks like a basic courier) is not the professional look I am striving for.

Not currently. It uses this basic font since it is built in by default to all PHP 5 installations with the GD library and we can ensure the font is available. In the future we will explore supporting additional fonts while maintaining maximum compatibility.

You can put in my vote for additional fonts. The built-in one is pretty lame! I can watermark before uploading, but then it shows on the thumbnails too, which is also lame.

Images in Watermarks would be nice

In future updates could you consider allowing the use of an image for the watermark. This feature is available in many galleries. A free one you could look at to "learn from" would be zenphoto. This would make your product much more professional. I was really unhappy after purchasing Powergallery that this was the only watermark offered. It isn't clear in the pre-sales info and once you buy it there is nothing you can do about it. Had I known this was the only watermark I honestly might not have bought it. (I do like it though otherwise.)

Thanks, Karen,

Actually, since I use Adobe Lightroom for most of my image processing I decided to use an add-on recommended on the Adobe site for this purpose. It's called LR2 Mogrify, and works great. It does the watermarking with any font on your machine, graphics, does borders and more. If you use LR, it is great. http://www.photographers-toolbox.com/products/lr2mogrify.php

Best of all it's donationware, and so not a big cost.

Even without the watermarking feature, I would still purchase PG, just for the ease of managing galleries, titles, and descriptions.

It still doesn't deal with the issue of the watermark being on the thumbnails, which I think looks tacky...

Karen, I have that on the v2 wishlist to look into allowing image based watermarks. I think it would be a cool feature as well.

Justin...if you want to see some useful features as far as watermarking and more, I would take a look at the product I mentioned. It uses an engine to process images that works outside of Lightroom, from a command line interface. It's called ImageMagik, and is free for developers to incorporate. Not suggesting that WA tie themselves to that product, just that the features are pretty full featured.

Thank Will. I've used imagemagick before, so that will be good to look at.
