PowerStore 3 Manual Install and PowerStore 2 compatability

Hi WA,

Great work, have used all three generations and thanks for taking on the user input.

A few questions if I may?

1) Can you do the traditional manual install (updating templates, connections, WA_Globals) and then run the script to migrate the MySQL database?

2) Is it the same confirm, cart code? Meaning can I use my modified pages from PowerStore2 for eway in PowerStore3?

3) Is it the same user reg and similar pages? Meaning can I use my local country customizations for states etc from PowerStore 2 for Australia?

4) Does the migration script link the previous images from the PowerStore2 MySQL database?

5) is eCart 4.5x compatible or should I/need to upgrade to eCart v5?

Thanks, Mark.

1. You will need to run the installer, and use the script for going from v2 to v3 to update your database.

2. the confirm and cart page should be the same as before, although there are not identical. I recommend to copy the eWay code from PS2 and past it in PS3 pages where it applies.

3. yes, but again i recommend to make the changes on the PS3 pages instead of completely overwriting PS3 pages.

4. For the images, you will need to copy the images from Images\Upload to the imagesupload folder in PS3.

5. PSv3 is 4.5 and 5 compatible.
