Inserting html and java into Site Assist with CS3

Hello Group,

I am builiding a new site using Site Assist Professional and Dreamweaver CS3 on a PC.

Normally I preview my site in IE8 as a local site. The previews of my site and templates seem to show correct function.

I am having a problem inserting html code and java code.
For example, a java page counter applet.
For example, a PayPal stand alone custom button.

I copy and paste the code into a template page. It appears to be inserted in full and correctly in split design mode.

After saving, I go to view in browser.
The rest of the page displays correctly but the code stays in its raw form.
This even happens when I am connected online.

I would like to get this correct before I upload my site from local computer to remote host.

I am worried because when I have used Dreamweaver in the past, but not using Site Assist templates, such code always displays correctly on the previews.

I must be doing something wrong!

I have not had any luck looking through the archives.
Thank you for any help, much appreciated.
Alan.

make sure you are pasting the HTML or Java code in the code window not in the design window. If you continue to have a problem, please post a link where we can see the issue.

Jason,

Many thanks for getting back to me so quickly and for your help.

Yes that fixed my problems perfectly. Things are working fine now.

Sorry for the 'easy question', I was having several blank moments after a long week.

With regards
Alan
