Binding Validated fields to dropdown boxes

Binding Validated fields to dropdown boxes

Hi,

Server side validation works well as does binding the validated fields to text boxes, but I can't seem to get the validated fields to populate the drop down boxes with the previously submitted values.

If I select the dropdown and press the dynamic values button, DW crashes. Which kinda sucks.

If I drag the validated field value and drop it on my dropdown box, I get a nice title = validated... in my code, but that doesn't really produce the result I'm after, as when the user is returned to the checkout page, the dropdown box has the "Please Select..." message, but if you hold the mouse over the field the value is displayed as an alt-type title.

It seems that only the value is stored and not the text label, which makes the out of the box solution a little lacking.

I guess I'll have to manually code all the drop downs and handle the validation myself unless you have a better suggestion. (fingers crossed - I'm feeling quite lazy) ;-)

Cheers
John
