Remove button and quantity update not working in viewcart.php

I'm having two problems with the viewcart.php attached.

1) See code, line 359. The remove button simply does not work - it does nothing.

2) See code, line 358. The original page had the Quantity displayed as simple a figure (an echo statement) that could not be edited. I want the user to be able to change the quantity so I added the text input field from the eCart pallet and set the ID to Quantity. It works if you change the quantity and then click the update button, however, if you update the quantity and hit Enter, it totally empties the cart! Not what I expected. I'm pretty sure on other carts I've built it worked correctly to change the value and hit enter.

Can someone please advise?
