Losing information when validation fails

Losing information when validation fails

With the help of WebAssist extension and great responses from the forum I have been able to create a completely dynamic site and pretty comprehensive CMS backend. I am just one possibly 2 pages from completion.

The problem I am up against is for my Gallery administration section.

There are 2 table in the database: gallery (which holds basic details about the gallery name) and photos ( holds the photo information with a foreign key to the gallery:galleryID_id)

On the admin pages the user creates a gallery, then adds photos to the gallery.
Everything works except when validation fails. Then the information in the photo insert form (galleryID and galleryID_id) are lost.

I have attached screen shots of the pages.

I tried to keep the info by using a session but couldn't get it to work.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I will add another post with the actual pages.
