Help with dynamic menu using data Assist???

Hi Guys,

I guess I should start at the beginning.

I have decided to build an ecommerce shop as opposed to using the prebuilt option.

Using the ecommerce data base, template and data assist I have successfully created a workable, product Insert, update, search pages which will be used in the admin side of things and have added products to the database along with a category add pages. All of which function correctly

I have also run data assist and created Product Results, search and detail pages.

Now here is where I am falling down and after two days I am to totally brain dead.

My template has a side bar and content editable regions. In the side bar I wish to have a list menu of categories which will when clicked jump to the page with products from that category only. I will also need the ability for the list menu to be dynamic so if a new category is added in the admin area it will show in the side bar of the front end of the shop.

After trying various ways to accomplish this I am so totally confused and my mind is in a worst state than ever.

Please could someone show pity on this newbie and give complete instructions on creating this dynamic menu linked to individual ctaegory product pages.

Kind regards

Jonathon
