Product Update
I hope you have all had a chance to check out the new CMS Builder. We also sent out a free dot release of PowerCMS to bring it up to par with the PowerCMS part of CMS Builder. If you didn't get a chance to participate in the CMS Builder beta and have any questions about what it does, feel free to post.
Later this week, we will be offering SSL certificates at a discounted price via our website - through our partnership with GeoTrust and Verisign. As a developer, you could buy SSL certificates from us at the discounted price and wrap them into your pricing for your customers. You'll see them on the website soon and should receive an email about it next week.
The next product release coming up is PowerStore 4.5, which will launch in March. This version will be free to those who own PowerStore 4 and will provide support for more countries outside the US. eWay and SagePay have been added as payment gateways and PayPal Payments Pro now includes an option to use Cardinal Centinel (Enable 3-D Secure). Canada Post and Australia Post have been added to the supported shipping providers list and you can specify custom shipping rules if the store owner uses a provider that is not supported by default. We're in beta on this right now; please provide feedback if you haven't yet!
We are also working on a new version of SecurityAssist, which will likely launch in Q2. And we are in development on a brand new solution to assist with mass mailing, which will also likely launch in Q2. You will hear more about these products once they are ready for beta.
Lastly, you may have seen my beta invitation in the general announcements forum. We are in development on a hosted online store that will launch in April. I have decided to start a new group, WebAssist Beta Testers, pending interest, to allow us more coverage in beta without the promotion to Community Expert. As a Community Expert, you will automatically be granted access to that (upcoming) section of the forums and invited to participate in the betas that are open to that group. So no action is required if you are interested in beta testing the hosted online store, but you can expect to hear more details.
As always, we are also working on dot releases for products that have more critical bugs. There is a lot of back and forth in the final testing so these get released as they are solidified and are hard to put a timeline around for you all, but know that we are always working hard to improve our current products.
We appreciate (more than you know) your help in the forums addressing bugs, workarounds and how-to's with the rest of our community. Keep it up!
Anna
