Two-digit dates converting to "1911"

As of the new year, we are noticing a problem in the client-side date validation. We have several forms that allow users to enter "any" valid date format, including formats using a two-digit year (like 01/01/11 for January 1, 2011). In 2010 these dates registered as expected (01/01/10 = 01/01/2010). In 2011 they are not - "11" is converted to 1911. The problem appears to be a hard-coded check in the "WADateFormat" function - it adds "2000" to any dates <=10. So not working in 2011 anymore.

We are currently on version 2.3.2 of the validation toolkit. Is anyone aware of this issue and whether it may have been fixed in the latest (2.3.5)? Even if it has, is there any way to fix other than re-doing all our forms in the newer validation toolkit?
