not working in IE6

Hi
I just starting using Menu writer. My menu design renders fine in IE 7 and 8 but not in 6. It can be viewed here: index.htm

I assume there's something wrong in the menu_ie.css but I don't know what to be looking for.

Also the sub menus are not displaying is IE7

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

***update***
I figured out that a surrounding div was causing the problem. However, without the div, now I can't seem to get the background color to extend behind the menu. It should be the blue color, like the nav buttons are. I've tried adding the color to the UL and changing its width..nada. Please help this is driving me crazy
