Sub-Directory and Settings Problems

There are two minor errors that I keep encountering when using the File Manager option for stand alone uploads.

The first one deals with the sub-directory. I would think that after typing a name in, that if the folder did not exist, that it would be automatically created. But I notice that the feature only works if I had previously created the folder and uploaded the folder.

My next issue comes with persistence of the settings for the directory. For some reason, the settings won't maintain what I originally set.

So, if I am in my CMS level folder - let's just call the folder "cms" arbitrarily, and then I insert an instance of file manager. When I do, I may choose a folder that is on root called userfiles. When I do this, it will first correctly put in the settings path "/userfiles".

But then if I need to edit the instance, I notice that the settings will change to just "userfiles" without the preceding slash. And now when I go to upload, it uploads to "/cms/userfiles" within the current root I am in. In other words, every time I edit an instance or add a new one, I have to explicitly change the settings to "/userfiles". My guess is that after setting it once, it was probably intended to hold that persistence until set again, correct?

Best regards,

Brian
