ecart calculations

A Big Ask.
I would like to calculate the size of a picture frame and matt on my online shop.
I need to calculate, area for matt and mount-board/glass and perimeter for picture frame.
I would like to select matt colour, sizes frame styles from data base fields in drop down lists.
I start off with picture size, ie 8x10, add 2" matt, (size now becomes 12"x14" for area and perimeter) Calculation is (area for glass and mount-board-LxW) + (perimeter -total 4 sides- L+Wx2-times Frame price/length), Keep track of the choices and add to cart.
Framing and matt sizes determined from the drop-down list. You can choose a frame without a matt, straight forward, if you add a matt size it needs to add that size to each side which increases the area as well as the perimeter. Matt sizes would be eg 1", 1.5", 2", 2.5", 3",3.5", 4" etc to 6"
I already have length, height and width set up in my cart calculator but that as far as I can get, simple calc would appear to be easy but this with matt sizes???
Can it be done??
I have seen online java script calculators for this on some web sites but I would like to integrate into ecart if I can.
I dont like making things easy.
Thanks for your help
Happy New Year
David
