Interesting, I can see your point - and I guess that in some cases this makes sense for the data table side of things, however, for efficiency and consistency sake I would still prefer to have them in a seperate file. :)
The number of times that I want these tables to look different is quite small compared to other times, besides, I believe that you could just as easily create a new template to choose from the get go in the Wizard, which would easily deal with the public / private pages issue. :)
