Menu navigation in separated boxes

Menu navigation in separated boxes

I would like to have my menu items line up right side by side and CSSMenuWriter is creating blocks that are spaced apart.

I have played around with the plugin and have re-created this menu five times and cannot seem to get the little blocks with the menu text to appear close to one another. Additionally, the drop-down menu items are spaced far apart, too.

You can see the web page here: new/

I have looked at the CSS, trying to edit that. I've re-created the menu five times and each time it gives me this spacing, which is not acceptable. Additionally, Dreamweaver shows the menu as all lining up across the top, while Firefox and Safari show the "blog" menu item as underneath the rest of the menu. I'm trying to get everything on one line and all menu items sticking to each other.

Changes that I make in CSSMenuWriter all look just fine, but once the menu is created, it has this spacing.
