Portfolio with DataAssist

Hello,
I've been trying to figure out how to work with the relational table feature in DataAssist, and I can't seem to be getting the logic behind it, please note that i know what relational table is, but I'm trying to figure how to make it work with DataAssist, at least for a certain project I'm working on.
I have a portfolio, where each client will have his own photo gallery, I have an insert page that I created previously, with the details of the client, and an upload box that's working well, a jquery option to add more upload fields to upload multiple images, i have the tables ready, a client table, and an uploads table, and a relational table...
now how can i make this display results, and update and insert into the database using DataAssist.
A detailed explanation would be appreciated :)
