Minimum version of PHP required ?

It doesn't seem to like 4.4.9 which is what my client has installed !

Error Message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/########/public_html/webassist/framework/framework.php on line 3
