embedding code into existing website

Hello,
Working with SA and have generated user_registration, LogIn, profile, EMpassword and LogOut. All is working well but would like to add/embed the php code(ie User_registration) onto my index page. I would like to perform similar functions with the other pages as well. I've converted my static index.htm to index.php and have done some cutting/paste but with little success. Page layout visually looks correct but I lose the functionality. (ie. embedded User_registration code doesn't redirect to LogIn page. I'm sure I'm sure I'm not pasting the code in the correct areas/order on my index page. Also receiving error like: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by...
Any assistance you could provide to this very novice designer is appreciated.
