Still no UTF-8 support?

I read the release notes for version 1.2.0 and could hardly beleive my eyes. There is still no update for utf-8 support. This means if you name one single image with a non ASCII character lets say like "my friend Desirée" the whole gallery will not display!
I went to this in depth on the phone with one of your friendly supporters and we could clearly boil this down to this problem!

This was already months ago and he promised to communicate this for the next version. So, I suggest only make photos from Cindy or Nancy until this is fixed.

I might be wrong and this has already been dealt with, but why would you not tell us, then?

Please enlighten us customers who might make pictures from abroad and put them into "Power Gallery"
