Form Toolkit Build 003 Available for WCE
You all should have received an email from me today, notifying you that we have a new Dreamweaver extension available for beta testing.
Form Toolkit was designed as both an alternative to Form Builder and a way to update Form Builder forms for developers that want to have more control and flexibility in their forms. It gives you back a lot of the control that Form Builder abstracts through its larger wizards.
The extension will allow you to quickly add CAPTCHA and date-picker fields to existing forms, as well as easily edit those fields when they are created by Form Builder without having to re-enter the complicated Form Builder interface and risk overwriting other edits made by hand after application.
While this tool enhances editing of Form Builder forms, it has server validations built in so that Form Builder isn’t necessary to fully utilize CAPTCHA and date-picker fields in forms built and maintained by hand or with other tools.
We have had a lot of requests for the functionality this tool offers, and this will give you an extension that we can improve over time to include even more great widgets for use in garnishing data from your end users more efficiently. We intend to eventually include additional form elements such as sliders, ratings, random question, random images and more in future versions. Thanks for all of your feedback and suggestions thus far.
