I have no experience with Actinic, but i can help point to the authorize.net code.

When you run the checkout wizard to create the checkout process, you will be asked to enter the information for the gateway you select.

One of the pages created by the checkout wizard will be the confirm.php page. this page will have the code on it to process the transaction with the gateway.
