Installation Problem with PHP Version

I bought Power Gallery to run on 1+1 Hosting. On running the install script i got the message that the version of PHP on 1+1 was 4.4.9.

This despite that 1+1 states on their order page that the Linux package supports PHP4 and PHP5.

I contacted their support and receive the following reply:

Thank you for contacting us.

Please be reminded that by default your php version is version 4.4.9. However, you have an option to upgrade this to version 5.2.14 without paying extra cost. To do so, you may refer to the link we prepared for you below. The said link contains the detailed instructions on how to upgrade your php version to version 5.2.14

go.php?t=e614325

Hope this helps. Thank you.

Looking at their FAQ they advise changing file extensions to .PHP5. This I can do, although more work than anticipated.

Which files in Power Gallery do I change?

Thanks.
