Need to hit Submit button twice on a Contact form with an iRite field added.

I'm using the Contact Form Solution pack and have converted the comment field to an iRite Rich Text Editor Field. Now when I put in a comment and hit Submit, the validation rule runs and states "Please provide Comment" even though there is a comment already in the field.

If I hit Submit again, the validation passes. Is there a way to get the validation to pass when I hit the submit button the first time?

Here is a link to see an example of which I'm refering:
post.php?post_id=21&message=

Click on the link on the right hand side just under "Add a Comment". That will open the page with the contact form.

Here is the code for the comment form element.

<?php
// WebAssist iRite: Rich Text Editor for Dreamweaver
$WARichTextEditor_1 = CreateRichTextEditor ("Comments", "WA_iRite/", "100%", "200px", "Custom", "../custom/comments_Comments1.js", "".(ValidatedField("contact","Comments")) ."");
?>
<br />
<?php
if (ValidatedField("contact","contact")) {
if ((strpos((",".ValidatedField("contact","contact").","), "," . "3" . ",") !== false || "3" == "")) {
if (!(false)) {
?>
<p class="emailFormError">*Please add a comment.<br />
</p>
<?php //WAFV_Conditional contact.php contact(3:)
}
}
}?>
