PRE-SALES: A new install question

The documentation of PowerCMS 2 instructs to create the 'powercms' (which will be renamed to reflect client's company) folder and upload to root folder of your website.

Here's where I would have issues...

1.) the website I will attach powercms to is 2-levels up from the root because it is one of about 20 departments that is apart of that structure

How do I work around that?

a.) Do I still install to root?

b.) Will I still be able to access powercms for the website?

c.) If I must place powercms at the root, would I be able to attached this one copy to any of the other departments website in the future? If yes, then creating several logins must happen. In order to accomplish that would I need to use another WebAssist product like Security Assist?

Thank you,
Monica
