Contents of field not be updated with html editor

I recently purchased the HTML editor extension and have everything working properly in terms of building, customizing, viewing, interacting with the HTML editor. However, the most important function -- inserting or updating the HTML -- does not seem to be working properly. When I remove the HTML editor and replace with a textarea, everything works fine. But as soon as I replace with the HTML editor, the contents are not inserted into the database. I've tried putting together a test page with just a basic dreamweaver insert with one field to ensure it was not conflicting with other code on the page but no luck. If you think this is something you can assist with within the next week, I would appreciate assistance either in a private thread over preferably in a phone call.
