Additionally

I followed the helpfull instructions on common_installation_issues.pdf. However the problem persisted.

But then I stopped the caching process by exiting this dialogue window with the progress bar, *before* the "Runtime Error!" occured (... This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way...). Immediately DreamWeaver started properly!
