Dynamic Suite - Having Troubles Putting It All Together?

So i have built my database including the following tables: Countries - Groups - Itemcategory - items - orderdetails - orders - orderstatustypes - states_provinces - visitors

I have ran through the Data Assist Wizard for the following tables: Items - Order Details - Orders - Visitors

All of the search, update, results pages are working perfectly. The Visitor pages are logging in and I am able to update, change password.

Now when I get to the ecart part everything goes to crap! The "FREE Documentation & Tutorials for ecart" link is broken and has been for a week or so? I may be over thinking this but I do not understand the dynamically driven pages here? My website is www.rainbowracing.com - I am trying to sell all (174 products) generic products. Since I created the database I was assuming that adding the add to cart buttons to the item detail & result pages would make this really fast and easy!!!!

I added an ecart object & button to the items_detail & items_result pages and when I open the item_search page in dreamweaver, upload to Safari, choose a product to highlight, click on the add to cart button and nothing happens. If I try to change the quantity and then add to cart it changes the quantity back to 1 - I did check and it is set to 1 and updateable?????

I don't know how to put it all together? I want to keep my current website as is and add a link to the generic db somewhere, I think (suggestions)? do I add buttons to the static items and then have them link to a detail page?

I am so frustrated, please just tell me how the blocks fit together - Navigating through your site, I cannot figure out what I am suppose to do next to make my site function correctly!!!

SUGGESTION: It would be great if the tutorials wether video or pdf would include troubleshooting. Including "what if this happens" - "check this out" solution.
