eCart recordsets

Hi
I would like to have a link to a page with a repeating region that will display a "Subgroup" number in the repeating region. The "Subgroup" number will be passed on from the originating page. I have tried the page link" AccessoriesList.php?Subgroup=146" as well as AccessoriesList.php<?php echo $row_rsAccessories146['ItemID']; ?>
Both work. I have dynamic links from the recordset on the list page to display the name, desc, price etc. I have a large number of groups and I would like to set up only 1 Accessory page and have the page populated by the detail from the link. I'm have trouble with the binding.
Do I need to set up a session variable or something like that and how do I set up the binding on the repeat table on the accessory page to display only the subgroup number??
Am I trying to be to clever?
Thanks as always for your help
David
