easiest way to rename files?
i guess it would be a feature request but it would be nice to have an easy rename page feature, which would simply run the sql update on the database where the old name occurs and update it to new name. but since there isn't there are two apparent choices, one safer
and the other more sophisticated.
The safest course would be to just go ahead and insert for a new page, and create developer code all over again for the areas of the page you want administered; just copy the text from the old page to new areas and get the new developer codes etc...and when done delete the old database entries.
The other way, more savvy and dangerous, would be to ( make a backup first!),
run some sql on the database, use the same developer code but change the filename section to new page name and you are done. Am i right? Or is it more complicated than that.
The reason it would be nice to have it is in the scenarios i am in, having to make pages that are not in production, but still need to be developed and put in production with the CMS ready to be used, on pages that are not named for production just yet. A file called "testing-index.php" needs to be renamed to "index.php" at a moments notice...
But since in any case you have to edit the developer's notes one way or another, the first case scenario is probably best after all... i think i am talking to self... anyway, i got in my feature request...
