Local testing and developer note paths

I have added CMS2.0.1 to a simple site and due to time did not test locally, just uploaded run the installation, set up the admin etc. Then extracted the developers notes and added to the php pages. Changing from static to dynamic content. Everything worked as expected.

I now need to develop the site and require to do this locally. I have set up local testing server downloaded the site and db dump etc. Obviuosly it does not just work as the paths are all wrong in the developer notes added.

Looking around the forum the WA_globals.php is mentioned a lot for setting the local testing server paths. The WA_globals.php file I have does not look anything that the simple php text file refered to. (or that in earlier php solutions from WA)

The developer notes are of the format:
<?php include('/var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/cms/WA_CMS/addtosite.php'); echo WA_getCMSContent($database_PowerCMSConnection, $PowerCMSConnection, 'Home', 'Content', false); ?>

The db globals has nothing to set for local path.

Can you suggest a working method for developing locally? All the files have devleoper notes in the above format that refers to the live server path and it seems very manual to go thorugh and change them by find and replace, then again to upload live. THe site will also need to be moved to another server at some point and again this manual update does not seem correct. I assume I am missing the obvious?

Can you point in the right direction to update the "global" settings for testing/live server paths?

I do subscribe to the extension library if any of these are required to make the changes.

Final question - the site scupltor cms gives access to optimization should this load with the PowerCMS install. The php file seems to be present but no obvious links into it at a quick glance. Can this be added?

Thanks Ian
