adding new pages to a sitesculptor CMS

I have seen a few posts on this, whilst waiting for SiteSculptor upgrade solution from Webassist, here's a quick and easy way to add new pages to the sitesculptor CMS

(If you are squeamish around mysql and php, look away now)

In my case, I had a page called products.php already in the CMS, and I wanted to add productdetail.php

This is a 2 stage process, you need to add rows to a table in the database, and some php code to your page.

In order to add a new page to the CMS, you need to access the table pcms2_contents.

take a look at the table structure and find a some rows which relate to an existing page, preferably with the same editable regions as the page you wish to add. (image1)

Add a new row for each editable section you require, entering data in the ContentGroup, ContentRefID, ContentUserID, ContentPageName and ParentId fields. (Optionally, add content in the ContentValue field) (image 2).

Repeat this for all of the CMS regions you wish to add

The page should now appear in the CMS admin.

Now add some php to the page.
Wherever you wish the CMS content to appear, add the following line...
(this line relates to my productdetail page, content section.

<?php echo WA_getCMSContent($database_PowerCMSConnection, $PowerCMSConnection, 'Product Detail' , 'content'); ?>

Repeat for the other CMS regions.

And you're done, (image 3 shows new rows in table)
