moving from static to php site

I have defined a DW 4 website using SiteAssist to start and want to now incorporate the dynamic pages, I am looking for support in how to leap from a static site to a dynamic site using some of web assists PHP extentions like search for Boss, My client wants to have an internal search box to search within the site, a calendar and a form and email.
Also My client wants to edit in any browser so I think I will need Power CMS.

I have looked at the tutorials and demos an each product but I am not sure where to get help in setting up php files with in my static site. I am a designer and can work with css and dw but I am not a developer/ programmer. I think I need to set up a local server and have found support to do that but I do not know how to set up the dynamic data files or where to find support for that?
Thank you in advance.
