Much obliged to you Neilo for your clear explanation as to how to use Site Sculptor with XAMPP. I was looking for a portable solution to the mandatory requirement by 'Site Sculptor' for a server environment and your really helpful forum entry provides an excellent solution.
I would go as far as saying that WebAssist owe you a debt of gratitude on the basis that their applications are specifically marketed to those who have not had extensive training in this sphere and the currently available documentation did not cover this issue.
Without server technology 'Site Sculptor' is of limited value.
As an alternative, it is obviously possible to use Microsoft Server 2003 or 2008 with IIS as host environment for editting purposes which enables correct display of PHP extensions and, as such, it is not necessary to be running mySQL and using the database required by 'Site Scuptor' with XAMPP. However the fact that XAMPP or WAMP is free and runs concurrently on the same PC as Site Sculptor are persuasive arguments in it's favour.
Thanks again.
Peter
