Problems with PowerGallery

Problems with PowerGallery

I am hoping to get some help with my PowerGallery setup. One of the problems I had was that the links in the admin area were not working properly, but I think I resolved this by changing the links in the menu.php file. However, I am still having problems with changing gallery names or adding new galleries. In the case of the changing the names, I get a failed pop-up dialogue box. When I attempt to add a new gallery, it goes through the motions, but no new gallery shows up.

I am able to add new images, but the tags and information do not seem to be stored. I am unable to save any changes in the Manage Images section including adding titles and descriptions and moving the order of the pictures. Changes will not save.

Also, I am not able change the design. Nothing happens when I click the apply area. The default remains. Also, I've noticed that the previews are having some problems, as well. They don't seem to be displaying the way they should.

I have checked my permissions both to the database and the files. They seem to be correct. I do believe that my webhost prevents me from having my files as 0777 since I get a 500 server error when I attempt to change them.

In fact, I have installed PowerGallery twice. Once with the folder name changed to powergallery, and once name changed to a more site specific name. I made sure all changes were affected throughout the files in the code for the file paths.

I use FireFTP to upload all files.

The installation always seems to go fine, but using the PowerGallery fails. I do love using Webassist products, but I am starting to feel as if I've wasted my money. I don't want this to be the case. I was very excited to be able to use this product on my sites. I hope someone can help me so that I can in the future. Thank you.
