DataAssist Search: change form element

You should not have to do any manipulation of the sql or recordset to achieve this. The best way to go about this is to start with a search form that is searching this column in the recordset. So you should setup the search criteria on your results page first, ensure that you are searching the correct column and that you are looking for a numeric value that is equal to the entered value. For the entered value put the form field that the value should be entered into.

Once you have it working with a regular input you can then update it to be a select list. You just add in the labels and set the values to the values that you want to search on. If you want to make it update the results automatically is more advanced. You will need to add some js code into the onchange event that submits the form.
