Need help fast on paypal setting

If you look at this pic taken from your documentation, you'll see why I'm so confused about this.

Your demo shows an email address for the merchant account user name, and password for merchant account password. But when you get your credentials from PayPal, it says API user name, API password, and signature.

So what I need to know is specifically, in the eCart 4.5 wizard, do I used my regular paypal user name and password (that I log in with all the time) in the wizard or do I use the API user name and password associated with the paypal signature. I think the word "merchant account" throws me off, as I don't really know what it means. If my "merchant account" user name and password are the SAME as my regular paypal user name and password, it might make sense. But using "merchant" makes me think this is a new or different user name and password.

I still need to know if the same info is entered in step 1 of 2 of the wizard and step 2 of 2. Thanks.

Is the paypal API user name or API password used at any time of step 1 or 2 of the eCart wizard?
