Improving search from dataassist

Jason,

As always you made it look simple, but when i tried to implement it i hit an old problem. If i make the changes you suggest (think i have it right but couldnt see the attachment too well) the changes arent saved and it gets overwritten with the default.

I have attached examples of the screenshots for you to see. Also if i try and change the code by hand (not sure if this is right) and the changes you recommend on the search page the results i'm getting are not adding up.

Again i have included samples of this. I can upload any of the full pages if this will help.
