display product status on clients details page

hi,

i have been trying and trying to get this to work and i know it will be something simple.

i have created my clients detailspage with data assist and i am trying to display the product status for that client on the page.

i looked at the recordset created by data assist which includes these parameters:

ParamClientID
Numeric
-1
$_GET['ClientID']

ParamSessionClientID
Numeric
-1
$_SESSION['WADA_Insert_clients']

ParamClientID2
Numeric
-1
$_GET['ClientID']


when i try using this with my recordset i get nothing displayed on page even though there is a status for that product to that client.

my recordset:

SELECT *
FROM product INNER JOIN clients ON clients.ClientID = product.clients_ClientID
WHERE ClientID = ParamClientID OR ( -1= ParamClientID2 AND ClientID= ParamSessionClientID)

no errors when i test this and no data when i click test button which is what i expected.

i have a productstatus column which i dragged onto my page next to a field that said "Status" but nothing displays for that client.

can someone help me please?
