Response from host concerning Create View privileges

I sent a request to a hosting provider (Hostgator / Reseller plan) in regards to getting the Create View granted for a PS3 setup.

This is their reply/request.

(From Host)

In order to protect the server we will need you to write our the username, permissions needed, and the string that you are wishing to run. At that time we will review this and see if there is a solution for this issue.

What exactly should I tell them so that I get it right the first time?
My first request was for them to tell me how I can grant CREATE VIEW and CREATE ALGORITHM for a user on a database.

And is this route even worth it, or should I just use the known issue update? The reason I was avoiding that, was I couldn't tell if I would reduce functionality by doing so.
This setup is just to test and learn on one of my live testing sites. I can just use my local testing server but I wanted to go through the motions of what it would be like setting this up for a customer. Looks like it will be different with each host anyway.

Thanks,
TroyD
