Go to your local connections folder and rename the file that is there:

Connection.php becomes Connection_Local.php

Then Download the remote one and save it as Connection_Remote.php

Now open Connection_Local.php and save it as Connection.php.

Now you should have a local connection folder and a backup of both the local and root connection in case you overwrite one or the other.
