Search notworking

search

I am accessing both side and top menus when testing this, and I am using mozilla firefox.
This is the specific problem:
When you select the TOP category, and click on it, such as On The Move it reads Product list - no results found. It looks like there is nothing in this category - no products - no subcategories. Should it not at least list the subcategories on the page? Should there not be at least an opportunity to put a representative category picture or description?
The page is very bland and uninviting, and totally uninformative. The top categories should go to an introductory page for their particular categories, and link to subcategories and specific products.

I will try selecting the different subcategories and products to see what I can get to come up on the top category results pages but it seems to me that there is a fundamental stage in the search process missing here.

ALSO: Any help on the Theme-It question I also submitted? It totally screwed up my home page formatting. Thanks
