ok i've managed to to do a successful import using the host company's phpmyadmin
in the cPanel, when i exported my sql file and saved it on my computer i think i had forgotten to check all the tables, i exported again only this time i chose check all boxes. Once all the tables were ticked i pressed go. Then did an import in cPanel and it worked, no error messages, i was very pleased until i tried to access the live site and realised there was still a problem. Its the same one as before

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Access denied for user 'latineyes_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/latineye/public_html/Connections/latinsite.php on line 9

Fatal error: Access denied for user 'latineyes_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/latineye/public_html/Connections/latinsite.php on line 9

i have no idea what i do now, i'll try asking the hosting company again but if you have any ideas please let me know. i'm obviously not doing something right.
