UPS Shipping calculator before checkout page

UPS Shipping calculator before checkout page

OK...eCart integrates the cool functionality of obtaining real time shipping rates from UPS. However, many of my customers want to know what the shipping will cost BEFORE they go through the process of entering all of their credit card info.

The rates seem to be based on the weight, zip code and service type. We sell greeting cards and all of the products weigh the same.... so in theory, we could have clients fill in a quantity of cards, a zip code and a service type and get a rate. Does that sound logical?

I emailed UPS and they sent a bunch of info that frankly doesn't make sense to me. I think they may just be over complicating what I am looking to do. I just want one of those shipping calculators like you would find on eBay but the client will also need to enter how many cards they want to purchase.

Is there an easy extension or block of code to easily add a shipping calculator onto my details and/or shipping info pages?

Thanks for all!
