Populate coupon field / session from an external URL

Our webshop is up and running using ecart :-) and I used the 'recipe' for setting up the coupon field.

One of our partners has asked if we could provide them with a link to our webshop with pre-populated items and also prepopulated discount.
The idea is they are then sending this to their customers, who can then click on the URL and it automatically goes to the cart with items already put in and also the coupon applied.

Has anyone any ideas?
