It seems that design and organization trends come and go when it comes to websites. I think that we found that the large div dropdowns we had just were not working well for the user experience that we wanted to provide. The idea behind scrapping that setup was to offer a more straight forward way of presenting info and product listings to the user. The information is about the same just organized a little differently.
If you think it is something that your users would benefit from and you like the design of the divs in the dropdowns then you should give it a try. If you would like to go for simplicity then breaking the content out of the menu and onto a page might be the way to go.
