Insert Todays Date for Multiple Update (form within form)

Hi

I have a query that I hope someone can help with. I have created a multiple update page on my web site, but I would like to update the "date amended" field to reflect the date it was amended. As not all records on the multiple update page are going to be amended I cannot put a blanket update date, but need to reflect each individual one. I could get the user to amend the date along with the other amendments, but firstly I can only get the date to reflect in SQL format in the text box e.g. YYYY-MM-DD and secondly it would be much easier if all they had to do was to hit a button and it was automatically inserted for them.

I guess even better would be that when they press update it updates the date amended field only for those rows that have been amended, but I think that would be too complicated as this particular page combines 2 tables on one row.

I have attached a copy of my attempt with a submit button on the same line, which goes to the same page once submitted, but I cannot get it to update the amended date.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Jo
